I haven’t virtually baked anything for ages and although I don’t drink alcohol I do enjoy a virtual gin and tonic from time to time. In my opinion the virtual member events were light and jolly in a troubled world.

I miss the tea parties
Hello
Do you mean virtual tea parties on here as I may not have been a member then
Whoever did them they might see this post and organise one or you could and then you can have all the cakes and Gin you like ( virtually ) of course
Hope you are doing ok x
Hello Maisie,
I think you are referring to the virtual afternoon teas and barbecues I started running at the beginning of lockdown. Both HU and the BHF had no issue with these as it was felt to make a contribution to the mental health of those suffering isolation and/or health issues. As lockdown eased in spring last year some people decided to make barbed comments, message me and put the odd complaint into HU/BHF.
Then in July last year I was told I was having revision surgery (to my stump) in August that year. It finally happened in May this year. The surgery went smoothly but both the pain relief and aftercare were found wanting. These events plus other issues did not really put me in the frame of mind for virtual events.
However, now that I am into "Learn to Walk Again - Part II" if a few people are interested I am happy to hold another one maybe over the upcoming bank holiday.
