icd nerve pain

hey everyone

I've had my ICD for 9 months now. I keep getting what can only be described as nerve pain in the left side of my neck, across my collar bone, back and left side of my chest. it's not all the time and stops me in my tracks. I've mentioned this to the heart teams but they are unsure what it is. Does anyone else get this at all. Thanks in advance

Hello :-)

It is really frustrating when you are asking the professionals something and they say they do not know that is not useful at all

A positive is they are not concerned but keep asking and pushing for them to get to the bottom of what is causing it

I am sorry I cannot be of much help but if you get an answer let us know what has been the cause :-) x

I know how frustrating this lack of response can be. I had exactly the same with my spasms when lying on my left side after an ICD replacement. Everyone just ignored the problem. After a lot of hassling it was diagnosed as one of the leads into the ICD was trapping my phrenic nerve. A quick trip to the pacing clinic and problem solved.Do not give up and make a nuisance of yourself. It is the only way to get treatment nowadays.

Thank you for the reply. Currently in hospital due to my heart rate being extremely low. So I will ask them to check x
