Hello all on this dark and miserable December day I hope you are all organised and looking forward to Xmas ๐ŸŽ„ ๐ŸŽ…, the day of the implant has arrived boohoo, overnight bag packed, hoping mabe I won't need it! Feeling a bit apprehensive about it, although I know it's nothing compared to the things my friends on this forum have went through, I think the nerves are due to the angiogram going horribly wrong, when most people are fine with it, I still shudder everytime I think about it, anyway fingers crossed ๐Ÿคž this time it will be ok, I will let you all know char xx

I remember how I felt before mine I was terrified. I had never had anything like it before. All I can say is it not nearly as bad as I thought it would be the worst is the injections to freeze the area. Try and look forward to feeling better and fitter than you have been for a while. Good luck. Have a lovely Christmas.

Hi, I really sympathise, I had the same experience with feeling in so much pain during the implant, I seemed to feel everything. It was so traumatic that I am worried about when it needs a new battery. But well done, it's done now and it gives great peace of mind. Now go and enjoy your Christmas ๐Ÿ˜Š. ๐ŸŽ„

Hi I was beginning to think it was just me! Everybody else just seemed so chilled when they got it done, Honestly two paracetamols would have worked better, but as you say it's over now, just been told I'm good to go ๐Ÿ˜€, have a lovely Xmas ๐ŸŽ„ and a great new year, char x

Guessing you did end up staying overnight if you had morphine etc? Hope you remember feeling a bit better today x

Hi the whole thing was just awful, I have had more sedation from two paracetamols!! I just got a small morphine injection when back on ward, which was about 4.30 I had resigned myself for an overnight by then, it was fine, just waiting to go for x ray and if all ok good to go ๐Ÿ˜€, xx

So sorry to hear you had such a bad deal with your ICD. Try and rest up a little over Christmas and thank goodness it's done and dusted for now. Any other procedure you have be a little forceful and tell them how traumatic you found the experience and that there was not sufficient sedation given. This can then be put in your notes.

Hope you have good Christmas good luck with in recovery.
