low oxygen levels when sleeping

I'm 43 and approx 4 months post op after open heart surgery to replace valves following endocarditis diagnosis, won't bore you with the details but I've just recently started wearing a smart watch which reads your oxygen levels. During the day it's 95% but at night when I'm sleeping it drops to 75%. Anyone else?

Hi Jstout78, mine is the same, in the high 90s through the day and goes into the 80s during the night. I’ve no idea why but doesnt wake me so to be honest I don’t think about it. I’m sure someone on hear has the answer. If not ask your cardiologist or the BHF nurses if you are concerned.

That's interesting. My o2 is 76 on a good day. Well that's what it was on my stress test on the cycle machine at the hospital. It went to the dizzy heights of 76% at peak exercise. Again I really don't trust electronic gadgets. I do have oxygen finger reader at home. Admittedly I did not spend a fortune on it but my oxygen levels are low due to my congenital heart disease of the tricuspid valve. But I still do the things normal people do , might not run marathon but never have been able to.

Consider a sleep apnoea test, I’m surprised it hasn’t been suggested already. Doesn’t have to do with weight or anything like that. I have sleep apnoea tested about three years ago as severe, I had 145 oxygen drops on one night. I think that was marked under 90.

A recent CPET test has shown up that I’m not getting enough oxygen for my heart and it’s not working as well as it should be.
