I'm looking for recommendations of an economical and efficient travel insurance provider for those with heart conditions . I had an atheroma in 2014, was stented, and take daily medication to treat my condition; aspirin, statins, Bisoprolol, Ramipril.

Best travel insurer for those with heart condition
There are frequent questions about travel insurance, about once or twice a week it seems to me. I suggest you search the site. And if you are viewing this website from a computer rather than a phone look to the right of your post for some examples. Finally Staysure get a regular mention by members.
Otherwise try this
My insurer is my bank, who have just agreed to pay us out for a non-related heart health issue. However I am covered by them for multiple Heart Conditions including Heart Failure and Arrythmia. Oddly enough my wife isn't covered due Stroke Meds. When I looked for separate cover for her, I also put my details in, I used one of the comparison sites and there were plenty that would cover me, at low cost. All I would suggest is be honest with any answers, and before signing up with anyone, speak with someone.

As soon as I told my bank insurer that i had heart surgery and have AF, they said we will cover you for every thing but your heart !!I am currently looking at csis insurance for european cover.
You never know they work, as I found with my Wife, she was excluded due to taking Blood Thinners. They've always been fine with me, multiple AV/MV replacement surgeries, I also have PAF, but, it's wholly controlled by my Pacemaker and covered under Arrhythmia.
I've just had a procedure for Angiodysplasia of the Colon, due to a Gastro bleed, and from what I can gather, they more than likely won't cover that. So, I suspect I'll be looking elsewhere myself before long.
I have used Staysure, found it easy to fill in all the questions online. surprised earlier this year when I got a new quote it was nearly the same price as 2 years ago when I did not renew due to the start of covid.
Hello and welcome to the forum!
I usually recommend StsySure and AllClear. Whilst not the cheapest they appear to offer the best cover and have a good record for paying up on honest claims.
As mentionred you must be totally honest. I posted a fe years ago where a claim was rejected as the person did not mention COPD which contributed to a lengthy hospital stay.
I have found Admiral Travel offered best annual European travel price for us, but as I have not had a claim yet (touch wood) can't comment on service should claim arise. We are both 72, I had HA and 2 stents in May 2021 plus successfully treated prostate cancer and my wife suffers from osteoporosis. I found the quotes via Comparethemarket.com.
