Hi I have been on 90mg slow release Diltiazem twice a day for SVT, after being unable to tolerate 5mg Bisoprolol. Still not seeing much improvement. Cardiologist has written to gp saying I can either increase Diltiazem to 120mg twice daily, or switch to Antenolol. He feels that beta blockers are a better option but the choice is mine. I have agreed to try 120mg Diltiazem for a month before changing. Just wondered if anyone else has experience of Antenolol. Thanks.

Hello
I have not had any experience on that med but feel Bisoprolol which I take is not suiting me and waiting to see what they put me on instead
I think we all can react differently to certain meds I hope this one will suit you better
Let us know how you get on x
Hi, thanks so much for your reply. Been taking the increased doze of Diltiazem for a month now. Thought it best to give it a try before switching yet again. To be honest, I’m not sure if it’s helping much or not. I think I’ve lost track of what normal is and of how I should be feeling😊, so when the doctor asks if I’m any better I’m not sure what to say ! Hope you manage to find something that suits you. Bisoprolol is one of the few medicines that I’ve had problems with. I’m usually ok with most of them, but it made me feel as though I was dragging myself around and my legs were like lead weights.
Hope you’re on your new meds soon.
Take care and thanks again. x
Hello
I certainly relate to that feeling of what feels normal anymore and find myself like you not sure what to say
It sounds as you do not feel any worse so maybe see that as a positive x
