One April 1st many years ago, on t.v. they had a group of people investigating a haunted house. I sat enthralled as strange things started to happen - what a let down to find it was all a hoax.

Does anyone else remember that programme?

I saw one programme hosted by Michael Parkinson. It was an elaborate spoof, even had police car involved. Extremely scary. The programme was heavily criticised by viewers, many of whom were petrified. IMO i thought it extremely irresponsible.

Yes, that's the one. It was certainly scary.

I think that was a Halloween special. That's what made it so scary and the fact that no less a person than Michael Parkinson presented it

Remember the one where they said they found a colony of penguins that could fly? They even showed footage of them flying.

I liked this one..

They haven't got the best one about the spaghetti trees in the 1960s. I remember that one.

Panorama - the spaghetti harvest - I remember that one too!

LOL. Shows our age but spaghetti was very exotic then and very few knew anything about it.

Oh my word; that perfect English enunciation. I don't remember it being so long but the first part is exactly what I remember. Back then it was completely plausible.

Friend's 14yo son shouted out at 6:00zm yesterday "There's water running down the stairs"!

He was up early as excited about a rugby match later that day!
