It's been a year ago today since my OHS. What a year it's been, with ups and downs, starting a new job, feeling exhausted, wondering if I'd ever find any normality. Looking back, I can't believe how much progress I've made and I feel optimistic about the future. Throughout it all, this forum has been a great support, whether it's the information or the words of support offered, or the sharing of experiences. Thank you so much for helping me get through such a challenging time and giving me hope π

Thank you. The sense of not being alone is so important, also knowing there are people who know exactly what you are going through. All the best π
Hi Cooer10
ππππππππππβ€οΈ
I do love a recovery story.
Hats off to you still working and getting on with life.
Iβm retired and had my AVR tissue in January 2021.
So we are both over a year on and wasnβt it surreal?
I agree that this forum is a safe and good place to be. It helped me such a lot too.
Iβm now 68 and last Tuesday walked a really tough 9.43 mile coastal walk. Big elevations which challenged me but so enjoyable. What I realized was, pushing myself on that walk didnβt frighten me. I had full confidence in how my body was reacting. Donβt get me wrong. There was a lot of huffing and puffing . Spring and Summer ahead to do more and get fitter. Itβs been a long Winter. Love walking.
Iβm so pleased for you. Keep getting better every day.
Thank you Maisie. Itβs exactly posts like yours that inspire me and make me realise that new adventures and experiences are possible. Hats off to you x

Thank you for your kind words. I have a new appreciation of life that I am very grateful for and am determined to live my new normal in the best way I can. Take care π
Having got through this first year, I very much feel like itβs a new start to focus on how I would like my life to be from now onwards. Definitely onwards and upwards! All the very best to you π
