Two years ago we had a very successful Mothers' Day Tea. However, after after the easing of restrictions and the poorish response to a recent quiz I am dubious about hosting further virtual events.
So instead I will wish all mothers on the forum a Happy Mothers' Day! 🌹🍾🍰
Tomorrow would have been my mother's birthday so we had Mothers' Day on her birthday more than once and the occasional Easter.
So share your thoughts of your Mother but please not of virtual events!

When my dad died (aged 49) I had just had my first child and was suffering really badly with depression (I think all the females in my family all suffer). The doctor prescribed antidepressants but after taking one I had to go to mum’s to ask for help with the baby. She asked me what was wrong and I told her. She told me she didn’t have time to be depressed. She was only in her mid forties and still had two of my sisters at home. I threw the rest of the tablets down the toilet. I lost my mum on 1 March 30 years ago and miss her very much. If I have a problem though I still ask her advice and she always helps me.
Hi maisie. Love the idea that you still ask your mum for advice. I know whenever any good or bad things happen the first thing I want to do is speak to my mum even though it is 14 years since she passed away. Every now and then I still reach for the phone before I remember - a devastating experience. Hope you are keeping on keeping on x
Sadly this was the third year I was unable to lay flowers. Hopefully the daffodils have naturalised at the neglected grave to give some spring colour. 💐
Sadly the wound on my stump is really becoming a nuisance. Currently I am on am on Co-Amoxiclav for infection. I saw the vascular surgeon and am hoping he comes up with Plan C soon...
