I'm going into my 5th week post crt-d lead implant would the lead have settled in now, as I am still very anxious about movements and stuff as the uncomfortable feeling from the incision has started to ease I've found myself doing more stuff not over doing it but doing more stuff than I've been able to I have an icd check on weds but my anxiety is getting the better of me yet again. I've tried so hard to rest and recuperate but as I say I've found myself doing more and not sure if a chance I could dislodge it etc sorry its me again and TIA

Hello :-)

I know we have spoken on my post and even though we have had different things done the anxiety still feels the same

You are doing right by keep moving and doing things but I know the worry about am I doing to much , I think our bodies will tell us and that is when we should take a rest

When you go on Wednesday for your check as I do not know to much about this others might ask the what you should and should not be doing , tell them you fears , I am sure they will reassure you that by doing things you will not trigger anything of but common sense maybe like it could be a bit early to be do weight lifting :-D

Take a notepad and pen and if there is anything you should not do you can jot it down

You could also phone the BHF Nurses and see what they say about how you feel and what is advise they have in what you can at this stage be doing :-)

You are doing better than what you think :-)

When you get used to this and you get back your confidence you will look back and wonder why you worried so much and you will gain your confidence again it just takes time :-) x

Hi , I have a CRT-P done on 1.9.21 and some aspects like exercise tolerance and rate ratio has improved but in your case you have a defibrillator as well. May I know what was the condition you suffered before you had this special device.
