BNP count

Hi guys i had a heart attack in 2020 and i have recently seen my gp fue to breathlessness' he carried out a blood test in which my bnp count was only 43 pg/ml yet i've been led to believe i'm in heart failure for 18 months' as anyone else experienced this?' The gp says i'm not in hf so i'm just confused..thanks

Just a question who told you that you had Heart Failure and was it confirmed by an Echocardiogram with a reduced Ejection Fraction ??

I have HF with a 39% EF and I have never had a BNP blood test I do believe it is an indication of HF but not sure if it is 100% accurate !!

My BNP is 37 , but still having sev. breathlessness.
