Hi all

Had a heart attack earlier this year and a stent was fitted. Has anyone experienced a change in their sense of taste? I get a sweet and metalic taste and its difficult to eat anything I eat doesnt taste very pleasant. I assume it is related to the medications I have been taking?

Yes my sense of taste has changed since my AVR 18 months ago. Some things taste very sweet, sweet coleslaw is horrid, other things are very salty, even the unsalted butter I use. Other things are just weird. I loved coffee and just don't recognise the taste of it now, though perhaps that's just as well because it helps me cut down on caffeine. I have no solution I'm afraid. Now life is an endless round of trying to find something to eat that i recognise! Good luck to you with that.
