Loss of taste and appetite

Hi i had a heart attack in august and after that I’ve lost my taste and appetite ,everything tastes like cardboard ,I’m a diabetic so this is effecting my sugar levels ,has anyone else had the same problem

Yes my tastebuds have completely changed. I can’t eat any meat at all now. I don’t like the taste any more. I find a lot of things are too sweet for me also.

Hi thanks for getting in touch ,it’s hard when food should be enjoyed I find I cannot eat meat as it feels horrible,the texture just hope one day it improves x

Hi I had a transplant in July and I am the same, it's horrible, things I loved I can hardly eat and that includes chicken ☹️I can't eat bananas or grapes but melon is lovely, hard to get my head round it, I verge on being underweight and I worry about it constantly, also lack of nutrients, sweet things are better than savoury for some reason, I would so love to get back to the way i was and enjoy food, char

Hi I know how you feel I’m still in touch with my GP to see if it’s my medication but no luck yet just hope one day we can enjoy eating again ,not looking forward to Christmas this year as all that food is gonna taste like cardboard 😩

I don’t miss the taste of meat and I’m saving money as I only buy one fillet steak, one pork chop, one fish etc. I add a lot of fresh vegetables and herbs to my pasta sauces. If you use strong tasting cheeses like Gruyere to garnish you use less cheese but have maximum flavour.
