So my BP isn't going down with my meds and the doc put me on stronger ones too, these pills also make me feel drowsy so it was suggested I take them in the evening, I guess I need to contact doctor again?
Anyone else experienced this?
I have been on pills for 1 month.

I did three things to lower my blood pressure. They all worked and they all contributed roughly the same towards getting my blood pressure and pulse rate from the danger zone to back down to a low risk level.
1. Medication.
2. Exercise and weight loss.
3. Low salt diet.
So if you're not seeing a satisfactory blood pressure reduction from medication alone then you still have other weapons in your armoury, exercise/weight loss and a low salt diet.
Go back to your doctor. There are a number of different drugs available which work in different ways to reduce your blood pressure. Some people react differently to others. There is information on BP medication on the BHF website.
Like me you may have an allergy to caffeine, in some individuals it can cause a consistently high BP rather than a spike, try a caffeine holiday say for a week and see if it makes any difference.
Yes I was on Bisoprolol and experienced a number of effects including loss of voice, tiredness and breathlessness. One doctor took me off this drug and put me on amplodopine and then another doctor took me off that and back on bisoprolol but lesser strength. Done really know what the answer is!
