It's quite common at times to hear your heart pounding in your ears. It can be very annoying. Have you anything like an Apple wrist watch or a Kardia device so that you can record what it's doing when it pounds?

Hi unfortunately I don't I only have pulse oxymeter n stethoscope lol
I too use a stethoscope. Keep saying I'll get an oxymeter too but haven't yet. Have had AF for 17 years, 3 ablations and numerous cardioversions. Still have it mildly but don't give it the slightest bit of attention now.
It's taken me about 14 years of fretting to get to this point, so nothing clever about me. I've finally learnt the power of my mind. Also the ablations weren't a total cure, but did help.
What's AF? X
Atrial fibrillation when one chamber of the heart flutters rather than beating regularly. Remember that anxiety can make your heart rate very fast and makes you more aware of it in your ears. Mine can get really loud when I'm in bed. Talk to your G P who could either put your mind at rest or refer you for a 24 hour monitor to check it. Before CHristmas I had several bouts where mu pulse went really fast and fluttered so my GP booked a monitor which i had fitted on Christmas Eve and took off the next day and dropped it off at the hospital. Results took a few weeks but all was perfectly fine.
