A friend who had a heart attack and stents has been told not to drink black coffee.

Can anyone comment on this? Thanks

Hi I only drink black coffee

But I have changed to decaffeinated

Dear Sewing19

I nearly choked on my black coffee when I read your post !.

I was told that “in moderation” was to be my new mantra, including my beloved black coffee.

Your friend might be sensitive to the caffeine, some have to stop a caffeinated drink well before bedtime or the old sleep pattern is disturbed.

I can have one just before lights out and sleep like a baby , each to their own.

I think it just shows that we are all individuals, but if I was told to cut out coffee and was given the reason why, then of course I would.

Why? Is the main question

Take care

Coffee in moderation. I have 1 cup and a half diluted one if dregs for the family remains. Apparently, caff can affect heart rhythm so cautious for now. May sneak a cup of tea at lunchtime.
