So my favourite people people it’s been a while. Hoping your all well. So it’s been 7 months now since my life saving surgery to replace my extremely poorly mitral valve. All has been okish however today I finally called my GP after lots of denial. You see my life has changed and not always for the better. I am so so very tired and been struggling so much. I’m working full time and all I seem to do is work, come home, dinner and bath and bed. I’m exhausted. The pain in my sternum is so bad and I am more breathless than I’ve been for a while and my anemia seems to be over ruling my life. My nails are ribbed and so weak! And I’ve gained 10 kilos which can also be down to the menopause! So my GP has referred me back to the cardiologist for some answers. If someone asked how I feel % wise I would say 65%. But I will update you all and for now sending you all well wishes xx

Life is a Struggle!
Hello Achingheart, I am so very sorry to hear you are struggling. Although I can’t advise on medical matters, just to say I am thinking of you and sending you a big hug and lots of strength. I am now 4 months post bypass x 4 and understand that some days can be incredibly difficult and painful. Suffice to say I hope you get your Cardio appointment very soon to get the answers you need. Judi x
Good morning Achingheart
Sorry to hear you feel so low but keep going, some days are worse than others. You strike me as sounding very depressed - have you asked your GP if there is somebody you could speak to.
I have an appointment next week with a hypnotherapist (feels like I've tried everything else!) so I'll let you know how it goes - reckon the only thing I have to lose is my money 😀. Keep your chin up and take care x
Dear Achingheart
So sorry to hear your sad post,
I for one think that you are doing incredibly well, working like you do, goodness me it was only 7 months ago that your body and mind was put through such a life changing operation.
I also think that we soon forget the run up to the operation, all the tests , all the worry as each one draws us closer to a diagnosis.
I am not medically trained but your post hints at a slight depression, and who could blame you going that way with all you have gone through { and by the sounds of it still are }
Please seek help, you will get though this, but you need help to do so.
Take care, I for one think that your are a remarkable human being doing the best she can to fit back into a crazy world.
You have changed, they have not, nor will.
Hello Achingheart just wanted to say you are amazing that you have carried on working but if you need time out don’t hesitate ask your GP about a fitness for work certificate or self certify yourself im sure with some time to recover it will take the pressure off a little - take care and let us know how you are doing very best wishes 😊xx
