NI Chest Heart and Stroke 5k

So,signed up yesterday for a 5k walk at Stormont at end of February . After my heart attack in April last year it amazed me how dr's can go through your wrist and insert a little metal stent into an artery to keep you alive!!

Also my son has a bicuspid aortic valve which will probably need replaced within the next few years(he is 13).

All this is only possible with research and I am happy I am able to raise money for such a worthy cause. Only put it on facebook yesterday and have raised £115 already😊.

It is so amazing what they can do :-)

I am glad your procedure went well and I hope everything goes just as well for your Son which with the surgeons skills I am sure it will :-)

Well done on the money you have raised , what a lovely thing to do :-)

Dear Jules2021

Well done and thank you for posting such a positive post.

I agree totally with you that advancement in medical procedures could not have gone ahead without research.

I wish you son well and when his time is ready I am sure that he will get the best of care.

In the future , someone will be getting that care because of the money you are about to raise.

Good luck with it all

Hi jules, we are so lucky to be treated by these people. They save lives and help us on a daily basis and are on the top of the list of people who I respect. It’s these sort of people who deserve MBEs or knighthoods etc. not actors, singers, members of parliament and other useless contributors to society.!!!

Best wishes. Ron.
