Are there no guidelines with your appointment letter? Guidelines may vary between NHS Trusts and the type of echocardiogram. Typical medications you may have to stop are beta blockers and anti-anginal drugs like Diltiazem and Isosorbide Mononitrate. Usually they advise no caffeine or smoking on the day. Ring the department doing the test to get the correct information.

From your posts it is fairly clear you have a degree of health anxiety. Just ring the department to confirm everything.

Having locally advanced prostate cancer as well doesn't help matters.

I was told to only stop Bisoprolol 48 hours beofre this test.

I was on isosobride mononitrate & statin as well.

Dear Radars

First I am glad that your appointment has come through for you scans and hope that they will be able to levitate some of your worries.

Having said that the scan will be useless if you don’t follow its pre scan needs.

Please phone the scan dept and ask them to clarify just what is needed from you.

I will be thinking of you,

Take care
