They do say they way to a mans heart is through his stomach.
Is that true? What I mean is. Is there an actual connection between heart and stomach. Could my stomach sometimes be aggravating my palpitations or could my palpitations be causing an uneasy tummy.
Just wondering if there is a connection or if anyone has changed diet or lifestyle and noticed any difference?

In a very simple way, if your heart is struggling, it demands more blood, leaving less for less ‘life urgent’ organs (like the stomach). If I get bad angina, my stomach can churn and I have had to rush to the loo pretty quick,
The is some link but try googling it (don't believe anything that says you are two minutes away from the coffin). As the stomach uses blood and the Hart provides it it's a fairly common link.
According to Mr R (My surgeon) the route to my Hart was straight through the sternum.
If you are really concerned give your Dr a call.
Dear DanniC88
Love this post and it sent my fingers tapping away at a search.
I have found no better answers than you have received from other members, but I have learnt something.
You know the saying “ old dogs and new tricks ? “ well I can tell you that in my case that isn’t true.
Thank you
Thanks for that DanniC8,
I have an ICD fitted, and when I eat I get a sort of aura (a dizzy fainting kind of feeling, needing me to sit up straight and take a deep breath) which I suspect may lead to the device firing.
Its got so that I'm afraid to eat anything these days; I thought I was the only one suffering from this.
Now it looks as though others are having similar difficulties.
