Normal blood and ecg but bad chest pain all the time!

I was wondering if anyone else had this problem and what their experiences with it are. I’ve been struggling with heart pain since I was about 15 (I’m now 20) and I feel as if it’s getting steadily worse. I had a blood test and ECG last year which both came back normal, and I’ve got a 24 hour ECG booked in 2 months. The pain comes and goes completely randomly and I get it in my back, down my left arm and occasionally in my left jaw. It can vary from really painful to very mild. I don’t have anxiety but it is making me feel so stressed!

I feel for you, at your age, you shouldn't be having stress over whether or not your heart is going well. Unfortunately, most times these things don't show up on tests. You should be seeing a cardiologist, one who doesn't try to put you in their preconceived normal. There is no rhyme or reason why some have problems. But maybe start writing down when pain occurs and strength and duration, I use my phone notes for this. Hopefully you will get answers soon. Take care. Moni

My 44 year old son gets the same pains in his jaw etc.. as you describe. He's been told its unstable angina. Look it up to see if it applies to you. .
