Is Bisoprolol the only med you take?
I asked my gp rhe sane question and she said yes. Best to check with your gp though as none of us are supposed to give medical advice on this forum.
Yes it’s often taken at night by those who feel a bit dizzy after taking it in the morning but doctors do prefer you take it in the morning.
Although as stated we are not supposed to give medical advice on here, my surgeon said it is fine to take at night, this is what I do and it suits me better.
I’ve always taken it at night, as that’s when my AF episodes would happen and also because it made me feel weird and spaced out if taken in the morning. It’s surprisingly hard to give up though - I’m four months post ablation and have been told I can stop taking it but every time I try I get racing heart and more ectopics.
Thanks for replies.i asked gp but didnt get answer to question only saying carry on taking it.gp waste of space when you can actually get to speak to one
I took it in the daytime when I first started taking it and after talking to a Ward Sister when I was in Hospital because I felt strange she advised me to take it at bedtime. I have done so since and had no problems.
Was taking 2,5 mg in the morning for about four months. Asked the cardiologist if it was OK to take it in the evening because my Afib episodes always started in the night. He had nothing against it. Nothing changed basically and after a month I realized that I have a vagal Afib and in that case bisroprolol is actually a contraindication. Stopped it, gradually, and feel much better. It is also not clear why I was prescribed bisoprolol in the first place because when in an episode my HR is never above 80 and normally 60. With b. it was often 50 or so. Not good.

I was not told why i was put on it either..my heart rate is normally between 60‐-75 but on bisoprolol its often below 50 and once when wearing monitor i was told hr dropied to under 30 at night when asleep.no action taken and no comment made when i asked why i was on it.I will persevere with it until follow up review in a few weeks.
I used to take mine in the morning and the gp then switched it to night and if I felt like I needed more I could pop an extra one during the day. It effects people differently but the advice was always before bed.
I’m not sure if it answers your question but I take 5mg in the morning and a further 5mg at night.
I take 3.75 twice a day
I take it morning and evening, I do get light headed, but that's what the cardiologist told me to do!
My consultant split my dose. 1/2 in the morning and the other half at night.Check with your GP / heart team though
I take mine in the evening as advised by GP.
I was told by two different heart specialists that I should take it in the mornings as the heart needs it more through the day than it does when your asleep
I take 1,25mg every night as cant deal with it by day, doc said this was fine
