Hi - I’m on a mix of heart medication following a quad bypass 2 years ago. Am now talking to my GP about going on an oestrogen only patch form of HRT as at 53 I seem to have some menopause symptoms. Does anyone (well ladies) have any experience of going on hrt with heart meds?

They wouldn’t do it, I’m afraid.
As a mere "hard man" I can only guide you to this BHF article:

Patches seem to reduce the risk of clots. As for the breast cancer risk you really need to discuss the risk with your GP.
Hello Gail1967
There is great deal of mixed if not confusing advice about HRT and heart disease. It keeps changing!
We've had a few discussion about the issue before.
The latest advice is that if you have ever had a heart attack then HRT is not advised.
I suggest you ask your GP to check with your Cardiologist and a Menopause specialist about what's best for you.
Hi Gail 1967. I was diagnosed with H F last July. Had Sepsis in the kidneys in May. Referred to a Specialist to have a look with the cameras. He put me on Ovestin HRT. Said it had loads of side effects. Didn't use it then another Kidney Dr telephoned me and advised me to use it twice a week. I feel much better in it. Good luck to you and stay safe x
