Hi. I'm very much in the 'try it' camp. I've been taking for a few months and am now on middle dose and hoping to increase to highest dose at next review. I was warned that it might knock my blood pressure out - it didn't - and that I will need regular bloods to check on kidney function - fingers crossed all ok so far. What it has done is to make me feel so much better. I feel human again...which can only be a good thing. Exercise tolerance improved, but not all symptoms gone. We are all different, and its very much an individual decision. I gave it a go because I was willing to try anything that made me feel better -
My worst nightmare - I won't be able to take any longer.
Some people have had adverse reactions to it, but as I said - its an individual decision and we all react in different ways to drugs.
My advice would be to try it. I had my ramapril replaced by it and it’s done me wonders. Feel much more alert and full of energy. At times I have to hold myself back and remind myself what I’ve been through! Tell him to give it a go!
I've been on the highest dose for a couple of years and consider it my wonder drug. EF improved from low 20s to low 40s, symptoms improved. Blood pressure quie low, averages out about 95/50 but that's considered good as a preventative measure. Everyone is different and it's trial and error with medication, we can only share our own experiences
I'm on the waiting list for it... still undecided. The problem is it's still new so even my cardiac rehab team know very little about it. Having said that, it's had mostly good reviews on here, and that's what counts!
My husband has been on it for a couple of years. He calls it a miracle drug! His heart function has gone up from 25% to 49% and he has had no problems with taking it. His cardiologlist was thrilled with his results.
I've been on it for ~ 5 months. It replaced my Ramipril prescription that gave me a really bad persistent cough (now gone). My EF was measured a few months after starting and had improved although I can't say for certain whether or not it was down to Entresto. I've been titrated up to the max dosage now so am hoping for further improvement in my EF when it's next measured.

Thank you x
Hi, when my heart failure team nurse explained it too me she said that her patients had had mixed results with most saying it was a wonder drug as it had made them feel like a spring chicken, with less tiredness & more energy, I’m on the 97/103mg dose & have had no adverse effects, although on the bright side before Christmas my EF WAS 33% now it is 55%. He won’t know if he doesn’t try !
Gobble them up like tick taks! I can only take the smallest dose but even that has had a big improvement.
I've been on it for 3 months, and found no difference, but I had no symptoms of heart failure anyway. Phone appointment with consultant on Tuesday, so will discuss this.
I’ve been on it about 3 months. My cardiac nurse was very excited for me to get it, he said it has very very good reviews. I found out only the other day My EF LV dysfunction is 20% and this was before I was put on it but not tested yet to see if there’s been any change. My BP has been optimal every day and he reviewed me today and is putting me on the middle dosage and blood tests to be taken 10 days after I start.
