Wishing each and everyone of you a very happy new year and with the hope that it’s a better year for us all. You being here through this awful year as been such a help, thank you for the good advice for the great information and for lifting my spirits with the jokes, and to Fluffy, for making me smile so much with your posts.

Morning and a happy new year to you and your family, I hope you had a nice evening, we laughed with Billy connelly, so funny and sang along with jules Holland, toasted in 2021 and wished for a good year to come, I shed a few tears for my donor and her wonderful family and once again thanked the NHS, I hope you are feeling well at the moment cheers char xx

I too watched and laughed with Billy Connelly, must admit shed a tear for him too. Played a quiz with our youngest son and family over zoom, before the pandemic didn’t know what zoom was😂 hoping that not to long into 2021 I can see him in the flesh.

I did think of you last night did think your thoughts would be drifting to the donor and their family, as I am sure their thoughts were with their loved one and whoever received such a gift.

Hope this year your kidneys ( and mine) behave themselves that you can start reducing your medication, and for all of us life does return to some sort of normality.

Best wishes Pauline

Lol, I know what Zoom is and am dreading the day son on the US Gulf of Mexico coast and daughter on the US West Coast find out about it and insist we Zoom instead of Skype (which can only be done one family group at a time and I lied to both my Skype was playing up this Christmas to avoid them seeing I'm in another acute flare!).

Happy new Year to you, your dear husband, and your far-flung lot from me and mine - here's hoping 2021 brings us the joy of in-person family reunions, better health and much more wealth (can't we all use a few more quid in the coffers over 2021?).

Happy New Year to you and yours, I really hope you are feeling a bit better though I know from what you say it takes some time. Had to down load the zoom, thought here we go something new to learn😂

I echo your wish for physical contact with our families with fingers crossed by Summer things will be back to normal.

The Australian end are doing well, very little COVID eldest granddaughter leaves for Canberra 4th February for University ( NUA) so life moves on.😉

Can’t we all use a little more money, maybe a lottery win? ( really should play lol)

After reading a few of your posts bought John a mini pedal bike, thought it might strengthen his leg. Didn’t open it when it arrived from Amazon just wrapped it ready, he opened it Christmas morning to find a metal detector 😂 now the vision of John going metal detecting just set us both off, the replacement arrived yesterday and he’s already had a go! Hoping it helps. Thanks for the information about them.

Sending you best wishes from the central belt.

Yes, but did they let him keep the metal detector? ( 😁 ) Actually a very nice giggle courtesy of Amazon and well done them fixing the mis-ship - I hope your husband enjoys hundreds and thousands of miles on his new 'half-bike'!

You know, you might give it a go - you might discover a knack for it (WOW Amazon for letting you keep it, that's an unexpected bonus to keep, 're-gift' or even flog on that well-known auction site).

Once your husband builds up a bit more stamina, you might think about one of those all-terrain mobility scooters so he can get out there in the fields with you and do some detectoring, he might quite enjoy it!

My dad had one of those all-terrain jobs, the only places he couldn't go on it were rock jetties and similar. He was quite keen on beach-combing and the scooter handled shale and sand nicely. He'd haul home all sorts (mostly sea-glass he and the grands used to make things with, lol) - sometimes even something valuable. He found several wedding and engagement rings, some coins, and some WWII medals among other things. My children loved going to the beach with their Granddad thanks to that scooter.
