What a present 🎁 TESTED POSITIVE ON CHRISTMAS DAY

Happy Holidays to all

Had a shock when I received a text on Christmas Day to say I was positive from Test & Trace

Couldn’t believe it

How can people with heart conditions NOT be in the Government shielding group

Went to work for 1 day and “Hey presto”

Keep safe everyone and keep your MASKS on

This new strain is highly infectious

God bless ALL 🙏🏽

Sorry to hear about your test result. Do you have any symptoms? I understand you can have none but are there any? I also hear that the test are not completely accurate but I wouldn’t rely on that report. Go with what you are feeling. X

I doubt very much that it said you have tested positive!

It would more likely say “you have been in contact with someone who has tested positive”.

In which case you need to self isolate.

Thanks for your reply

I went for a test and came back positive

Symptoms are now kicking in

Temperature, cough, breathing and all the bells with the virus conditions

It’s very rare to get a “false positive” from the tests

Stay safe everyone

Apologies, with you saying a text from test & trace it didn’t sound correct.

Hope your symptoms are mild and you recover quickly.

Hi, I had it for n the first lockdown. My doctor prescribed me a steroid inhaler which helped a lot (I was having breathing difficulties). I believe steroids are now a common treatment so worth speaking to your doctor ASAP!

Morning

Your a star

Much appreciated for your support

So far trying to do deep breathing exercise that some of our fantastic NHS staff have been putting out

It’s about getting air in the lower part of the lungs

Symptoms are worse today for sure!!!

Keep safe everyone, please

You don’t want to catch it 🙏🏽

So sorry to hear you tested positive and poorly with it.

I pray you recover soon. I agree I am newly being diagnosed with a structural form of heart disease tachycardia and very breathless awaiting an MRI maybe that will be done by next Christmas if I’m lucky! Yes so surprised that heart patients aren’t expected to shield I did find that very odd!

Take care and get well soon and merry Christmas 🎄 🎅🏻

Dear Walking Tall, I just read your post and felt so bad for you! I keep hearing that steroids are meant to help with recovery from Covid - and because I am asthmatic and have in the past used them for that reason I can attest to what powerful meds they are. Just not too much of them! I wonder could you chat to your GP about it? Wish I could do more. If you are able to, get out and breathe some fresh air, even for a few moments - always a balm to the senses. Take care and I'm wishing you a speedy recovery.

Hi, I don't want to "like" your post because you have that nasty virus it seems inappropriate. I wanted to say basically wish you a full and fast recovery.

My son & his girlfriend have had it and steroid inhalers were huge help, my son usually on them twice aday & needed 8x daily. His girlfriend had never used one before but still using couple months on. It might be worth asking your GP. Hope you don't get too poorly, God Bless.

New drugs, new treatments, better expertise will all be working in your favour. Survival rates have improved dramatically, better oxygenation procedures are working. Some say breathing exercises can help. Fight the good fight.
