Hi Franky. Ticagrelor is an anti-coagulant (blood thinner), usually given for 6 or 12 months after having a stent or balloon fitted, although some people are on them for longer. They will make you bruise much more, and cuts will take longer to heal. You need to inform your dentist as this may affect what they do. Some people do have side effects, but I'm not sure what you mean by changes to the body. This may be related to your other tablets rather than the Tica.

Blood thinners that prevent clotting. Everyone who's had a heart attack is put on ticagrelor. YOu will bruise very easily. I looked like I@d been in a boxing match. One side effects can sometimes be he feeling that it's difficult to get your breath; more a muscular problem that actual difficulty breathing. After a heart attack most are on it for 12 months then aspirin for life. You should also have been given a tablet to protect your stomach.

HiI was on this drug for nearly 2 years and it worked well for me.

Speak to your cardiac nurse and she/he will put your mind at rest.

Don’t be afraid to dial 999 and go into hospital for a full check.

Good luck Andy
