Had my telephone consultation yesterday and the cardiologist was so nice and answered all of my questions which has also helped me feel a little less nervous. I am on the list for a stent in possibly Jan/Feb/March.But who knows with this blooming Covid! Apparently I shall have lifelong Clopidigrol after, which doesn’t mix well with Ibuprofen which I need sometimes for RA. Anyone else found a solution to this? This was a question that I forgot to ask!

Phone the BHF nurses. I'm sure they could answer that or even your GP

Or try your pharmacist

I can't have Ibuprofen or naproxen because my heart condition, heart failure, and I have rheumatoid arthritis for which I used to take both at times. GP has prescribed paracetamol with co-codamol, slightly stronger than you can buy over the counter.

The issue with ibuprofen and other NSAIDS is that they also diminish the cardio protective aspect of aspirin. Maybe apply as ibuprofen gel to the affected areas and use paracetamol and/or codeine. These tablets are not as effective as oral ibuprofen but the gel has been shown to be as effective as oral ibuprofen with fewer side effects.
