Hi all has anyone ever had this happen .my blood pressure seem to get lower if I take exercise .to put it in content I got up this morning took my tablets for high blood pressure amlodopne I then checked my blood pressure about two hours later 138 over 80 .so off I go for a brisk walk up hill and down dale i live in North Wales so plenty of hills .was other for couple of hours when I got home checked it again 116 over 62 and this happens all the time is it normal thanks

Yes that is exactly what should happen, any exercise does this. Not only will your BP reduce after exercise, it will stay lower than it would have otherwise been for the rest of the day. Below is a link to the benefits of exercise on blood pressure.

Exactly as SotF said. I see precisely the same thing in my own blood pressure readings.

Congratulations by the way for exercising regularly. The doctors have done pretty much everything they can do for us with surgery and medication, the rest is up to us with a commitment to life style changes.

Hello

Out of curiosity what happens to your Heart Rate does it Increase as your BP goes down ???

Thanks for reply my heart rate goes up from normally 58 to about 67 bearing in mind I take 2.5 m bisopoal in the morning because I had a heart attack 10 years ago with.a stent fitted

Thanks for the reply my Bisoprolol is variable 7.5 to 10mg depending on my Entresto just wondered what happens to your BP , as when my BP is low HR increases and Higher BP results in lower BP

Yes, happens to me all the time. Blood pressure can be higher then as soon as I walk it drops down. Exercise is good for you, also better in the afternoon than in the morning. Good luck, keep up the exercise!
