For the past 10 years or so, I have been prescribed various medications for hypertension, with varying degrees of success. Most recently I was taking 100mg Losartan and 2.5mg Indapamide. Just over two years ago, I felt a large mass in my abdomen, which was found to be a simple large renal cyst. Last week I had the cyst drained. Over 500ml fluid was aspirated. The benefits of this have been enormous. My blood pressure has normalised. My GP has recommended stopping all meds. I used to have pain in one hip which woke me every night without fail, and kept me awake. All gone! I have slept through the night for the first time in many years. I’m aware that these cysts can regrow, so I’ll be keeping my eye on it. I’ve also started a low carb diet and feel so much better for it.

That all sounds really good news. Good for you!
What an amazing story. Who would have thought that something like a cyst would have caused such problems. You must be thrilled to have such a result.
