Can you ensure theres enough gin please. Also I'm assuming loo roll & sanitisor is no longer an issue?? 😂

SpiritoftheFloyd profile image
SpiritoftheFloyd in reply toLezzers

Oh, plenty of loo roll and sanitisor - must remember to bring some empty carrier bags with me 👍🧻

Lezzers profile image
Lezzers in reply toSpiritoftheFloyd

You did spring to mind when I mentioned them!! 😂

MichaelJH profile image

The current shortages here are PCs and accessories including routers, Wi-Fi boosters, etc.

Alison_L profile image
Alison_L in reply toLezzers

We won't need loo roll if we have one of those burgers - it'll bung us up for days!

I hope there's a bit of gherkin in there...

Lezzers profile image
Lezzers in reply toAlison_L

It would be hard to find the gherkin 🥒 in that lot!!

You only want to escape from hospital food

Cant beat BQ food

MichaelJH profile image
MichaelJHHeart Star in reply toRose54

It's not to bad in rehab fortunately. The roast beef yesterday was excellent - in hospital I gave up. I think part of the problem is outsourcing. Here the food is supplied by part of the FM (facilities management) division of a building company! Goodness knows how you get from bricks and mortar to hospital meals!

Rose54 profile image
Rose54 in reply toMichaelJH

Hi

I am glad to hear that food is good

We only have one hospital here but I thought food was very good liked all the coding for healthy meals .Was certainly the start to me losing weight as made me rethink portion sizes .

Healthyheart1 profile image
Healthyheart1 in reply toFluffybee

Kraken rum was the downfall of my husband and his cousin, or it may have been the apple sours or maybe they started putting something odd in lager x 🤔 x Sheena

Fluffybee profile image
Fluffybee in reply toHealthyheart1

That’s hysterical, in the past I’ve had a bit to much kraken rum cocktail, it was lovely but boy did it finish me off 😂 I’m a lady ‘ now so have a sip of posh delicious gin, and just get high on life and all the good things like yesterday’s BBQ, loved it, thank you to everyone who cheered me and I’m sure everyone up, special thanks to Michael 🤗

Great!! After reading a post the other day about you smoking outside the Lemmy cafe, I realised you were probably a fellow hertfordshire hedgehog, will bring wine and reminisce 😂

I was a student of Mid-Herts College in Welwyn Garden City around that time. The college was near the notorious Cherry Tree pub and Welwyn Department Store.

Magicfairy profile image
Magicfairy in reply toMichaelJH

Yes I live in wgc, and used to go to the Cherry Tree just a couple of years ago 🤥

MichaelJH profile image
MichaelJHHeart Star in reply toMagicfairy

Subsequently I went on work on ICI in WGC. WGC was also the home of Shredded Wheat.

Magicfairy profile image

That’s right, long gone now.

MichaelJH profile image

My parents used to go to dances in the Cherry Tree when they were courting. It's been a a Waitrose for 30 years. I can no longer down a pint of beer in 10 seconds. 🤣🤣🤣

It’s a good job most people are bringing gin then 🤣

Looking forward to this afternoon - it's is SO good to have you back, Michael!

I'm bringing along a wee something I picked up in the US Deep South - the fixins' for a Southern Mimosa - 1/3rd of the glass filled with nicely chilled champagne/prosecco/vodka (imbiber's preference and I don't deny mine is Stoli), two thirds orange juice (freshly squeezed California navels, usually Sunkist for best taste) with a splash of grenadine on top to mimic the lovely pinky-rose colour of the Mimosa shrub/tree in bloom.

Shall I bring my usual? Gin and chicken tikka? See you there - who cares about the weather 😍

Fluffybee profile image
Fluffybee

What about some Norfolk moonshine 🥴🥴

MichaelJH profile image
MichaelJHHeart Star in reply toFluffybee

Is that made from potatoes?

Fluffybee profile image
Fluffybee in reply toMichaelJH

Yes 🤭🤭 a few special ones that my dog pinched and buried in the garden which produced some amazing spuds, just had to find out where she’d birdied them, a couple in the greenhouse, behind pots, in flower pots etc etc, invented a new game find the spud 🤭🤭

Fluffybee profile image
Fluffybee in reply toFluffybee

This post actually happens, it’s funny to see my dog actually dig up spuds after they’ve been planted or pinch them from a bag, rushes outside and buried them, had a good crop last year as well 😂

I have just come back from walking Millie.

I have some blackberries.

Would you like Blackberry and apple pie? With some lemon peel added.

MichaelJH profile image

Milkfairy profile image
MilkfairyHeart Star in reply toMichaelJH

Michael would you like cream or custard with your blackberry and apple pie.

marigoldb profile image
marigoldb in reply toMichaelJH

I do a great apple and raspberry crumble, no sugar on fruit, and you can have as little crumble as you choose. Have to have some carbs! Yoghurt, ice cream, single cream, or custard with it?

Now my request, a cheeseburger and a little side salad please, chips and a half a Guinness please. Can almost smell it cooking now! Later before closing time, a whisky and dry ginger please, I’m just not a gin person.

Hope you aren’t getting too tired Michael, if so just let me know when you will be opening up again? I’ll have just a simple snack here for this evening.

Virtual hugs and thanks for bein back with us all, you make such a difference.
