Had an appointment on the phone on the 28th with Cardiologist and received a copy of the letter to my GP summary is
" We have a fairly stable situation Blood Pressure averaging 103/62 HR 50 His last MRI showed an EF of 43% Last Bloods taken in January confirmed "Full Blood count normal, Thyroid Function test Normal GFR 72 and Iron studies normal "
In conclusion , this gentleman with a long history of Ischaemic heart disease and an Ischaemic Cardiomyopathy remains fairly stable and is on Optimum Medication I have made no changes to his medication and will see him again in a years time in my clinic for a review. I do think it would be difficult to get him up to the highest dose of Entresto, but the Heart Nurse will continue to monitor !!

Sounds like all going well as can be expected! I received a letter this morning to say i was having a telephone consult on 26th august. It is not with my normal cardiologist though. How did you find it over the phone? Did you speak with your ususal consultant and if not did the new one know your background details. Eg: tests done etc x
It was my Cardiologist who is an Intervention Cardiologist he put a couple of stents into my bypassed LAD, but I also have a Heart Failure Cardiologist located in a different Hospital who is the ICD plumber. I have been told I am at Maximum Medication and it would need to be an ICD should I go down hill or should my EF go down. I do become breathless at times for no apparent reason which has happened when I have been, being seen by the Heart Failure Nurse. She connected me up to an ECG which was showing quite a wide QRS and LBBB so a CRT was discussed but is on hold at the moment.
All in all I do feel pretty good just the breathless from out of the blue sometimes gets me down, but not by much. I am a pretty positive kind of guy who has lived for nearly 40 years with a blocked RCA . ( which is still 100 % blocked ) so I try to accept what comes along. The phone is not the best way for a consultation but it does work and I was asked was it acceptable for a phone consultation so yeah it looks like the way forward but I would say it only works if you are known to the Consultant !!
You've been through the mill! Hope your doing good. You sound pretty positive which i always a good thing. I saw my cardiologist about 6 times from October last year til about january 2020. Next appointment with him was supposed to be march but was cancelled due to corona! Havnt even heard of the cardiologist whos ringing me. Hopefully he will have looked at my test results etc before the call! X
