It should say on the leaflet inside the box. Or one could Google the brand name and find an authoritative website.

I've spent a lot of time checking my various medications and supplements to see if they should be spaced out and taken together or separately and with or without food, and have a printed list of my conclusions.

Hello :-)

I take 2 different blood pressure tablets one in a Morning and one at night

Does it say on the box when to take it as it usually does

If not phone your pharmacist up where you get your repeat medications from they should be able to tell you when you should take it :-) x

with regard to the link sent by fabfab1 - I took part in this study.

There may well be times or medications where your gp says you, personally, would be better off with one or the other, depending on your own particular circumstances. Your gp would be aware of this study.

I take mine at night which is what the enclosed leaflet says. Always go by the leaflet unless your doctor had said otherwise.

I take my amlodipine mid morning along with my others meds - this way I am more likely to remember them all which for me is key - that I take them and at the same or similar time each day.

This supports my particular med so could be something for yours too but as others have quite rightly said ask your doctor re your particular circumstances and med,

I used to research but I just settled for consistency and ease.

This research indicates that a regular time which suits you is the most effective:ahajournals.org/doi/10.1161...

in brief the Conclusion says: "Evening dosing of antihypertensive drugs significantly reduced ambulatory BP parameters and lowered cardiovascular events but the effect was mainly driven by trials by Hermida group. Unless the intention is to specifically lower night-time BP, antihypertensive drugs should be taken at a time of day that is convenient, optimizes adherence, and minimizes undesirable effects."

It might be just a personal reaction, but I was told to take Lisinopril in the morning, rather than at night, because it appeared to be responsible for Night Sweats

I take mine spaced out, 1 1st thing in morning, 2 at dinner time and 1 before bed, all with food even if just a few crackers. I was sent home from hospital with those directions and even if it says to take with or without food, I ALWAYS take any medication with a little food, think it helps my stomach from getting upset.

I took my blood pressure tablets in the morning for 20 years but when I was diagnosed with hf the cardiologist told me to take them in the evening, I took them by mistake one morning with beta blockers and felt groggy all day. Probably best to ask the pharmacist
