Side effect cough

Hi all hope every is as well as can be - the entresto tablets are giving me a bad cough which when starts goes on for ages , anyone any tips? Throat sweeties? Mints etc ???

Hello I am on Entresto but haven’t had a cough, are you sure it’s definitely Entresto causing it .

By a process of elimination it seems to be - not a common side effect but can happen . Funnily enough yesterday it wasn’t as bad - so hopefully it will continue to improve

Hi Scoopdogg, I have been on Entresto for just coming up 4 weeks. I developed a very annoying dry cough which HF nurse confirmed as a side effect. The good news is my seems to have miraculously reduced this week so you may need to give it a bit of time.

Hi that’s reassuring thanks - that’s me around 3 weeks now and like I said yesterday was better ! Hope you a right ! And I hope yours stays Away!!

I have been on lowest dose 24/26 and am increasing to next one 49/51 this weekend. I will let you know if it comes back, but for me the benefits out-way an annoying cough...... unless it wakes me up at night.

Totally agree I’m on 24/26 x1 in morning and x2 at night - it’s such a great drug that yes I’d need to put up with it too -
