And if this doesn’t work I don’t have an alternative as this is the safest beta-blocker for Asthma and Tildiam I didn’t agree with at all the last few days, Bp went far too low and I’ve felt really unwell. Wish me luck! I know reassurance is hard as we’re all different, but just needed somewhere to share. I really am on a new medical rollercoasters right now is ending with a cluster of multiple health issues.

I would say have a word with one of the heart nurses on the helpline they are great to discuss stuff with.

I had a friend who had a heart attack and his bp went down really low (happened when I took him for a short walk) he was taking blood pressure tablets but his gp changed the medication to the evening so would be asleep. Like I say heart nurse and G.P.

Best of luck I have just had my beta blockers upped as well. Xx

[Usual warnings, ask your doctors and consultant. Everyone is different.]

"Going too low....".

After taking Bisoprolol my heart bpm went down to 45-50. My consultant said "that's how I like, it don't worry". So I stopped worrying!

BEFORE I had my cardioversion my bpm was 110, consultant recommended 15.0mg Bisoprolol (gradual increases).

After cardioversion he recommended 5 mg (That's when bpm went down to 45-50).

"Feeling unwell"

A thought, was you feeling unwell related to your low bpm? Or was it plain worry?

My doctor's are so expert, everytime I ignore them and do my own thing, I am proved wrong. So listen to one's doctors!

My BP has gone down to 98/71-107-71. That in itself has made me feel drowsy and tired. I already have fibromyalgia & M.E plus bowel disease (thankfully in remission). There’s a lot to manage physically. My HR on the Tildiem was 60-70. I’ve only checked a couple of times since moving to the Bisoprolol and my BPM isn’t as low now (80 something last night). Not yet sure how effective this is & unsure I’ll tolerate higher doses (as asthmatic too). It’s all tricky and in the meantime I seem to have a lot of burning nerve pain in various places now. My heavy tight chest may correlate with anxiety over the situation, the drugs, the never ending feeling of feeling unwell and enervated for weeks,(its been a traumatic medical time since March).
