Rampril side effects
Hi Tayolamayo999, I was on Ramipril after my OHS, but developed a really annoying cough so was changed to Candesartan, I had the heart beating in my ears after the op, mentioned it to the doctor and told it’s a form of tinnitus, nothing to do with op or drugs 3 years on still can get it then it disappears for a while and then back it comes, I say it’s like soldiers marching in hob nailed boots! It’s worse at night I think because everywhere is quite.
Take care stay safe Pauline
Hi there, As one of my medications I take the lowest dose ramipril (1.25mg) once a day around 10.00 pm. Your question appears to have answered a question I have. After coming home from hospital after my sudden, emergency triple bypass last year, I noticed a noise every night when I go to bed which sounds like a low flying plane overhead. It was so often that I commented to my husband I had noticed they had started flying the Royal Mail post plane at night again to an airport which is only about 15 minutes away from us. He said they hadn’t and he had never heard the plane for a few years now. However, I do continue to hear the low rumbling every night and can only presume it may be as a result of the meds. I have read on this forum before of people who hear a rumbling or beating sound when they go to bed but never thought any more about it until I read your post today. I will mention it to my GP the next time I see him. All the best.
Hi there yes l belive it is caused by rampril l have spoken to quite a few people now that have been hearing different sounds in there ears l belive it can cause tinnitus plus other horrible stuff so l am going to change it to something else.
I have no other reactions that I am aware of to the ramipril and wouldn’t want to change to something that may react with my other meds so I will mention it to my doctor when I see him to see what he advises myself. I do hope you soon resolve the issue and feel much better. Stay safe.
