My first three things to do after lockdown is lifted are:

1A - Have a good long browse at the supermarket. (Yes, really. My life is filled with excitement, lol!)

1B - Go to the beach. I do not care if it is bucketing down rain (I live in NE Scotland, it probably will be bucketing down!) - I want to sit in the car on the promenade and watch the waves. And look through the binoculars for Bell Rock Lighthouse.

1C - Visit Stirling Castle.

Subject to change!

My 3 are,

- book a holiday ( anywhere in uk only for this year)

- Go for a Mc Donald’s

- Go for a Turkish meal with close friends

So basically, food related activities 🙄

1. Go out for a meal with my family via the pub

2. Book a holiday somewhere warm and sunny

3. Go to the garden centre

in reply toMilkfairy

What would you buy from the garden centre?

I went to B&Q and queued for hours at the weekend. Even the plants had masks on 🙄, I really wanted a beautiful rhododendron for my big pot but looking at them I would have had to blue light the poor things to A&E.

Some more scented climbing plants.

You can never have too many clematis

Lots of Lavender.

My lavender beds are beyond rescue. They need digging out and replacing. A job for my sons.

I do like a smelly garden 🌹⚘👃

Virtually sends Milkfairy some alpaca manure (you did say you liked a smelly garden....) 😃 have you looked online some local independent nurseries have opened and are delivering. I know you probably want to choose your plant but if you added a note they would choose the best specimen. X

Oh how kind manure thank you 😊

I have my favourite nursery which is family run up in Enfield and they are not doing deliveries yet....

Devon Cornwall and Dorset should be open for Business. Since living down here we haven't been on Holiday! Everyday is like being on Holiday. We do like the Food in this part of the World ( UK that is ) never really get a tummy upset lol don't need Insurance neither.

Should be a New Slogan Stay in the West Country Stay Safe Stay Well

I know what you mean. Owing to work transfers I've lived in several 'tourist towns' and there just comes a point the locals can't wait for the louts, er, I mean lot, to leave at the end of the season.

Yes I agree but at this period in our History I thought we should maybe share our secret, and give all the people a little of our Sunshine.

ps I hope they come by Rail and not down the A31

Stay Well

Stay Safe

1 see my Mum

Supernanu profile image

1. Give my grandsons a big hug and swing them around.

2. Go for a walk in the park

3. Walk to the shops, have lunch in a cafe and catch bus home.

All of these depend on doctors allowing me to do them!!

Hug my amazing grandchildren and children.

Take my dad out in the car - he has missed the daffodils and baby lambs this year.

Go to our caravan in Dornoch.

Nanasboys profile image
Nanasboys in reply toJanma123

I think it is getting to us all that we can't see our grandchildren it proves how much they mean to us

Janma123 profile image
Janma123 in reply toNanasboys

I have been fortunate enough to see the 5 that live closest across the width of the pavement but have not seen the others for 15 months now - they were due to come at Christmas but couldn’t and then the planned trip at the end of March had to be cancelled too- the rebooked June is also looking doubtful! Thank goodness for FaceTime etc!

Nanasboys profile image
Nanasboys in reply toJanma123

Its just not right that children have to suffer because of all this it's my youngest grandsons 8th birthday end June and I'm dreading not being able to see him it will break my heart

Janma123 profile image
Janma123 in reply toNanasboys

Hopefully by the end of June things will have eased. Our eldest granddaughter will be 21 in a fortnight and I doubt she will be able to celebrate it - she was planning a big party as she was in hospital with glandular fever for her 18th, grandson is 7 the next day. Take care.

Nanasboys profile image
Nanasboys in reply toJanma123

I know you said she will be 21 but to us our grandchildren will always be child so shes another child having to suffer its just not fair

And you could Play Golf on one of the Worlds Best Golf Courses. Great Beach to take a Long Walk. If your travelling from the South, Glenmorangie is worth a stop !!! Never found that " Social Distancing " to be a problem on Dornoch Beach

Enjoy

Arn't Grand children wonderful....so funny. My 7 year old told her Mum (my daughter) that she was cross with Boris, her mum asked why and grandaughter replied because he stopped me seeing Grandie. Lol so funny and such innocense.

Nanasboys profile image
Nanasboys in reply tokefalonia1

We need something to make us smile because we can't see that light at the end of the tunnel yet so thinking about what we are going to do gives us hope and its because of our grandchildren we are carrying on the way we have to

I will have a big cuddle with my grandchildren, followed by a pamper session at the hairdressers. A walk on the beach is also in order. We live near the beach, I do miss going there with the dogs and grandkids.
