Hi everyone

Firstly thank you to all those who read my last update and a huge thanks to all that replied with their kind comments.

So a pretty uneventful week really, my progress has been good with more positives than negatives. Been out walking every day until the "Beast from the East" put a stop to the fresh air and I had to revert to the treadmill and stationary bike at my local gym, I am walking steadily for 2.5 miles a day which I am over the moon with, it is taking me approx 40 mins I did not anticipate that 2 weeks ago.

The main down sides have been the healing of the breastbone with left shoulder and left collarbone discomfort every morning on rising, the local nurse who visited said this was to be expected. My sleep pattern has not been the best but hey ho at least I can get up watch TV and have a cuppa and watch the blizzards during the night.

I have said many times that I am the biggest wimp walking and to any other people about to go through similar, if I can do it anyone can.

Overall I am so pleased and immensely grateful for the position I am in today.

If anyone has any questions or I can be of any help please get in touch...

Regards to all

Cube

Glad it is going well Cube. :) I am avoiding the outdoors as freezing temperatures have been a precursor to angina! :(

Hi Cube

Great to hear you’re making such good progress. I still struggle with breathlessness in this cold weather, but am for be indoors, so roll on the warm weather!

great to hear you are doing well cube. I have to disagree however with you being the biggest wimp though. I've passed out in the dentists waiting room BEFORE i had treatment and also passed out while my son had a blood test. however post bypass I can have blood tests ect now without batting an eye :) Funny how such a little event can cure a phobia.

good luck with your recovery

Phil
