So has anybody had the letter? I have chd and i have 5 stents fitted. the heart is part of the vascular system. so having had stent surgery after heart attack does this put me on the list for 12 weeks isolation because going by the gov.uk guidelines it is had to interpret, my heart conditions is chd is this classed as circulatory vascular disease which i believe is on the list.

It only seems to be lung conditions and immune issues/transplants they’re looking at. 4 stents, dodgy mitral valve, slack LV and CHD here too but no letter (thank god)

Agree with Sillyfroggy x mydad is highest risk, my daughter is and my brother. They have all had text/letter. I've got chd but am told I can work because I haven't got any covid symptoms. I work in pharmacy and couldn't stop at home unless I was not well. Regards Sheena please keep well x

Totally agree the gov. Website totally contradicts the 111 NHS website

They seem to change their advice on Heart patience’s

The 111 quotes

•are pregnant and have serious heart conditions

When you try and talk to the 111 service and ask where to get a self isolation note, certificate they don’t know and bounce you back to GP

GP just say go to 111 NHS

Total confusion

Sorry for the vent

The BHF have this information

bhf.org.uk/informationsuppo...

We are all at risk some more than others.

There is a group of individuals who are at extreme vulnerability these individuals will be receiving letters

nhs.uk/conditions/coronavir...

GPs also have the discretion to advise any patient they consider to be very high risk not on the official list to self isolate too.

This is the link for the isolation note, you will have to answer a couple of questions to access it

111.nhs.uk/isolation-note/

Thanks all for the reply

But the questions are not for people with

Underlying conditions

It’s for people who have CV19 or live with someone that have symptoms

You can’t actually get a note for individuals who have “underlying health issues/ conditions”

Believe me I have tried

My wife has many of the symptoms as she works in a supermarket, I have underlying heart issues since 2015

Emailed our GP as to this predicament

Told by the secretary go to 111 🤷🏽‍♂️

Still the saga continues I guess

Keep well everyone and keep helping each other

That’s all we have is a cup of human kindness 🙏🏽

The isolation note is only for those with the virus, symptons of the virus or living with someone who has symtoms. If your wife has symptoms of the virus she should be self isolating as should any other member of the family.

There is no note for self distancing. If your wife needs to stay away from work because of her heart condition then she needs to discuss this with her employer, I assume they would be aware of her medical condition? If they need proof of her condition I assume her GP will supply this but they may charge.

Worrying times I know, but your wife's employer should be aware of their obligations to their employees.

I hope you're able to get it sorted ASAP.
