Sad Anniversary

Today is the anniversary of my father's death. He felt unwell, had a heart attack and then arrested. Like his father and brother the underlying cause of death was CHD. All far too young. Sadly I am still not driving so cannot get to the cemetery.

So a day for quiet thoughts and a break from the internet.

Thinking of you Michael. I have had a very similar family history, so I know what it is like to loose a father at an early age. I’m sure that he would be so proud of what you are doing and would want a long and healthy future for you. x

Thinking of you Michael, my father also died of a heart attack when he was 41 & I was just 12. I was lucky in that I was diagnosed & had a triple bypass earlier this year & I know you had a quad bypass this year as well so I’m sure both our dads will be pleased that we’ve both survived & lived to tell the tale perhaps due to advances in technology.

Jean.

Thinking of you and wishing you all the best. Be well. You are helping so many people through this website and "doing your family proud". With blessings from the angels and me. Clare

My Father too sadly passed away too young, you are a reminder to all that many can overcome CHD and live long lives. I am sure your father would have been proud of your achievements. Take care xx

Thank you for all the kind words. In the end I went for a long (for me at my stage of recovery) walk, stopped at a café, and had a coffee and strawberry tart. With the extra walking my BG was perfect although I am a bit tired today.
