12 Week Isolation

Two people I know personally have received these letters. One is on the list of medical conditions at the end of the link I have posted. Sadly they are not even distancing properly. The other is not on the list but after a few phone calls established they were put on the 12 week list as they had major surgery last year and it is considered their immune system is still compromised.

So if you get a 12 week letter/text do not immediately decide it is an error if your condition is not on the list.

Very true. My husband is one of the 1.5 million (our son congratulated him!) even though he only has mild copd. But we think it’s been judged along with severe sleep apnoea and a lung op last year.

This is obviously a medical decision based on many factors, so if you get a text or letter please don’t ignore it. The doctors must have assessed you and judge you to be more at risk of complications if you catch C19 so try to stay safe 😷🤧😄

Everyone should try to keep safe some people won’t listen I have a relative at the moment whim haven’t seen in weeks but is suffering with. Virus not knowing if it’s flu or Coronavirus but all all they tell me is it’s terrible and this is early days and she did all the asked washing hands mask gloves but was unlucky so everyone plz listen don’t go out anyone with any medical issue young or old rich or poor be safe take carexxxx

I have severe asthma but have not received the letter !

I’m still waiting ! what do I do?

Before the government had a different list , which included diabetes, high blood pressure , heart condition .

(I have all of the above too! ) Surely people with all those conditions should be self isolating too for 12 weeks?!

My sister in law who is an endocrinologist and specialises in diabetes said diabetics 1 &2 ,are very high risk and should 100% be self isolating for 12 weeks .

But our government thinks otherwise!
