Hi all I'm new here. I have been unsure whether to ask as it may be looked at as a silly question. Am I in the High Risk category?
I had my 1st Heart attack on 20th Feb, it was an NSTEMI. My angio was clear and I did not need any stents, however my echo did show some damage to the heart. I am 45 years young.
I am on the following meds a day.
Ramapril - currently on 5mg but still being reviewed to regulate my BP
Atorvastatin 40mg
Bisoprolol 2.5mg
Ticagrel 2 x 90mg
Aspirin 75mg
It's all so new and surreal and to be honest I dont think it has yet sunk in. Supposed to be at my 1st cardio rehab class on Tuesday but think it may get cancelled.

Welcome to the forum. I had a call Thursday from my card rehab, to say they are cancel to further notice, but they will ring every week, to see if I'm ok. We all at the begin reading things on websites, so when I came across healthunlocked on bhf, it has been a big help, that I'm not on my own and it's not just about heart problems, as I have found out. Ask as many questions members in here, are very helpful. Have a great Sunday.
Thank you Maggieace, you have a great day too. I do imagine it will be cancelled and will call them tomorrow, most definitely for the best under the circumstances just now x
The final bullet -have another serious health condition is at the moment a bit vague, the best advice is to wait for the next week, until 30th March to see if you receive a letter telling you that you are in this category, do not contact your GP in the meantime to see if you're in this category as this will swamp the surgeries
Hi. No question is a silly question!! If it’s playing on your mind get it out there! There is always someone on here who can help and if not help directly, simply make you feel better! The links people have posted are great!
I was 46 when I had my NSTEMI in September. If you are anything like me your head will be full of questions! I was far too impatient to get back to full fitness... take your time, let your mind and body guide you!
Thanks Imin, definitely feel in disbelief and think I'm still as fit as I was beforehand.... which I'm obviously not. Stay safe and thanks for the positive post x
