I took losartan 100mg last night but I accidentally taken another tablet after I ate breakfast this mornig around 9am. Is this dangerous? I dont feel anything as of the moment. Also, I haven’t been chexked by my doctor after I gave birth last may 2018 when I started taking losartan, Im not sure if taking them until now is ok. Many things happened this past few yrs including loosing my baby last oct 2018 thats why I havent been back to hospitals. Any help you could extend would be highly appreciated. Thank you

I would ring NHS direct.

Where are you? It is only coming up to 6:30 a.m. in the UK. You need to ring for medical advice. The fact that you took one last night and the second this morning may lessen any ill effects but I don't know how serious they may or may not be. So you need to ring!

My understanding is that it is a once a day medication so I am.puzzled by this mistake. Get yourself organised and take your medications as prescribed. Mine are now part of my daily routine.

Definitely check with your Doctor and in the meantime take extra care when standing up in case you have a sudden change in blood pressure. Although 100mg is the usual maximum dose there have been some trials in US with people taking 200mg daily so I don't think you will have any major effect. (See att) clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show...

You have been through difficult time with loss of your baby but maybe now is the time to book an appointment with your Doctor to review your health.

Aimee, do try and speak to your GP, but at the same time try to stay calm and quiet as stress won’t help. Drink plenty of water to flush it through (unless you are on restricted fluids for any reason, of course). I would have thought you might be advised just to hold off on the next timed dose for several hours, gradually returning back to normal timing over a few days. Definitely get a check though.

I would ring my GP for more professional guidance. Cheers.
