Has anyone had problems taking asprin everyday ? I tak 30mg of lansoprazole every morning to help with any stomach issues , but I ended up in A/E yesterday because I thought it was my heart again , terrible stomach pains and chest pains , been like it for a few days , everything came back okay but I’ve been advised to double my dose of lansoprazole to 60 mg because of the Asprin , I take 75mg since my H/A in 2018 the soluble ones , been advised it’s up to me if I stop taking obviously is be at a much greater risk of another A/E , I was thinking maybe swop the soluble ones for the film coated ones ?

I take Aspirin just after or with my breakfast. I have issues with all medicines and I take esomeprazole to counteract the effects. I find lansoprazole doesn’t work for me.

I take it after breakfast and I’ve never had any issues before , I’ve not heard of the one you take , I’ve got a drs app in a few weeks I’ll mention it , thank you .

Hello. Yes, I ended up with acute gastritis as a result of taking daily Asprin. This was diagnosed after a gastroscopy. I was treated with esomeprazole which improved the condition. I've also been much more meticulous in ensuring I line my stomach with food before and after having my soluble Asprin.

Thank you , I think that’s what’s happening with me , I’ll ask at my next drs app .

I switched from soluble to film coated and found it helped. I am on Rantidine 150mg 2 x day. Tried to cut back on these but the burning in my upper chest returned. I cant take PPI's unfortunately.

Thank you , I’m not sure if it’s the aspirin or the lansoprazole that’s causing it , I’m not keen to double the dose , too many nasty side effects , going to try the coated aspirin see if that makes a difference ..

I have been on lansoprazole 15mg and aspirin dispersable 75mg for 18 months with no issue.

I take the lansoprazole at 6:35 am breakfast about 7am then aspirin in water washes down the other meds (rosuvastatin, monomax, bisoprolol, tamsulosin, ranolazine) straight after.

Thank you , I’ve been on them 18 months too and until recently no problem , I’m going to try taking the aspirin with my main meal instead of breakfast and change to a coated one ..

I am on 75mg of Aspirin daily and have swapped to the entric film coated tablets which seem a lot better. I was on lanzaprosol for a year but found it was becoming ineffective and am now on 10mg of omeprazole daily which seems to do the trick. I take omeprazole first thing in the morning and 75mg aspirin after breakfast 😀

I’m in Avorstatin so I can’t take omeprazole , but I’m certainly going to discuss with my dr at next app , thank you ..

I've also have bad stomach pains and chest pains, together with constant burping. A recent endoscopy has shown multiple erosions in the stomach and, although not had follow up with a consultant yet, the most likely cause is the daily 75mg aspirin. I have been on aspirin for over four years and always take it with breakfast, about 30minutes after 30mg lansoprazole. I've now swapped to gastro resistant aspirin and my GP has increased lansoprazole to 60mg. Not sure if I should continue with the aspirin, but will do so until I've seen consultant and had confirmation that aspirin is the cause of the stomach problem and then can ask about alternatives.

Yes I’ve be told to double my lansoprazole to 60mg and also I’ve bought the gastroin resist aspirin , I think the aspirins to blame but I’ve got to wait to see my dr . Thank you ..
