Has anyone had a problem with this brand? My bp has shot up since I have used a different chemist and this is the brand of Perindopril I take.

Hi Mollypet , the least you should do is get your blood pressure checked at the doctors. It may be related it may not. The important thing is your blood pressure should come back down and be under control. Good luck with everything x Sheena

Where you on the same brand before? As suggested get it checked and take it from there. I have found differences between manufacturers with ACE inhibitors and a friend's wife with beta blockers (Atenolol). The issue appears not to be the active ingredient but the fillers and pigments. Good luck!

There is a most thought provoking article regarding the manufacture of drugs and the shortages currently being experienced in America and Europe in The Economist this week - "The parrots eat 'em all". Worth a look.

Will have a look. The worry is the greater the shortages the more opportunity for the low-lifes that produce "fake" drugs!

Well due to having a bladder disease I can only take the Glenmark version of this drug. The other brands give me terrible bladder pain. Sadly I've been warned that the Glenmark brand is one of those that may be effected by this whole Brexit nightmare and supplies will cease.

I've already been finding it difficult for some time now to get hold of it as It appears to be starting to be replaced with a generic UK version which I can't tolerate and which doesn't do the job half as well blood pressure wise either. All a bit worrying really.
