Hi ,I was diagnosed with Wet AMD in 2012 and underwent a series of Lucentis injections over a 2 year period. Thankfully it has been fairly stable since then with only a slight deterioration at the annual eye test last year. I manage to read with the aid of magnifiers and was supplied with magnification TV viewing glasses which I rarely use. However today I tried them again and happened look up the garden and noticed an improvement in distance vision which was significantly improved by adjusting the lens.I was always under the impression that distance vision couldn’t be improved by glasses. I was wondering if it was worth making an appointment with an Optician? After I was diagnosed the Hospital told me not to bother with an Optician and just buy cheap readers ( which are fine for reading). Does anyone make adjustable magnification glasses that are less bulky than theTV type and look more like ordinary glasses?
Thanks
Paul
