If you're only going to go to Spain, I'd get an annual multi trip for Europe, my thinking is that way you're sorted for 12 months, taking insurance trip by trip could be a problem if the insurance company tweak their rules on what they will cover from one quote to the next. With a 12 months policy you can forget about "can I get cover!"

Agree with SpiritoftheFloyd. If you are going soon take out the annual as prices will go up in the event of a hard Brexit and the loss of the EHIC card. I can't comment more as politics is outside the scope of this forum!

We managed to get our first multitrip insurance for years this year but of course you are still obliged to inform insurers of any change. We had to cancel in June as OH had swollen ankles and raised BNP and they would not cover till we had a definite diagnosis He is still waiting for an echo ( next week). They paid out yesterday.

Good afternoon. I couldn't get annual cover as I'm awaiting further investigations, I tried a few companies. I have HF but I could get single trip cover, it cost £52 for 10 days.

Hi Sanpedro,

We spend a lot of time in San Pedro del Pinatar in Spain and we buy a yearly policy.

This year we have purchased from Insure and Escape. Yes, a bit more than normal (I only found out at the beginning of the year that I had severe aortic stenosis) so all things considered we thought it was a good deal.

Hope you find a good policy and have a great time with your son in Sunny 😎 Spain 🌸
