Chances are you are fine and the anxiety takes over and makes you think your going to die. Believe me I know this for 4 year I've been thinking I'm gonna have a heart attack every time my chest has discomfort in it and I always go to the er when it happens and I have every test under the moon but my mind says I have to be cautious cause their machines ain't picking up everything. I actually have to go spend 7 says in hospital starting monday just to see if its neurological. But I do have good days to so if you ever just want to talk I'm here.

Greetings. It’s so easy to think the worst when u don’t feel well. If possible think good thoughts. The problem we all have on here is we have to try to cope with our problems the best way we can. I would like to wish you all the very best. I am not sure what else to say. Good luck to you. 👍🤓

Have you had any help specifically for your health anxiety which is a difficult illness in itself. It took me a long time to seek advice for my anxiety and with help from a counsellor and the use of various things to help me regain control (mindfulness meditation, breathing exercises) and actually admitting to people how I felt things improved hugely. Yes I still get anxious - everyone does, but life is much improved now.

Maybe see your GP and explain how debilitating your worries are. The answer doesn't have to be medication.

Shannon - it must be really difficult for you when you have such severe anxiety. I read an interesting article in the Times last Tuesday 16th written by someone suffering from 'illness anxiety disorder'. You might find it useful to read it to understand that you're not alone. The recommendations at the end of the article were:

1 - stay away from Dr Google

2 - keep a diary of symptoms to monitor your behaviour so that you can try to stop engaging with your health anxiety so obsessively

3 - remind yourself that heart palpitations, a tight chest and breathlessness are not always evidence of a serious illness - it’s crucial that people can differentiate between anxiety and a genuine health concern

4 - get help from a professional therapist or support group

Best wishes

My wife's asthma and allergies all disappeared when she gave up dairy products. She can even sit with cats now.

As everyone else has said, you need to ask for help with your anxieties.
