What Cardio pulmonary Exercise Testing (CPET) can reveal?

Hello everyone,

Recently had my CPET test done and I was wondering if anyone has any info/background knowledge on how to dissect the test results?

I requested the technician for the copy of the test results which he obliged. The test results have thrown a lot of raw data and pretty graphs, lol. It would be interesting to know what these parameters are indicating. I referred to Dr Google but unfortunately it has not been much of a help either.

I did ask my cardiologist about the results and his response was result ‘look good’ but he did not go into details, I guess we had limited time.

Feel free to share your experience and I am sure we can learn thing or two about CPET.

Hi, sorry to see you haven't had any replies. I was sent my previous CPET results which I couldn't understand either. Was just informed it ruled out my stent being blocked. Maybe contact your gp, consultant or one of the cardiac nurses for more clarity. Hope you get the answers you're looking for x

No worries sunshine, the question was technical, and the test in question is not common either I suppose so was not expecting an overwhelming response.

I got the positive response from the consultant re my test, my question here was more like exploring the parameters and graphs presented in the report.

Thanks for your response.

Good to hear you got positive response from your consultant. I would be interested to hear if you find out how to interpret the CPET report. Keep well x

Positive in a sense that test did not reveal any new problem, we need to address the existing problem which now require intervention.

Yep, if I do hear anything, I would be happy to share.

Always better to know what you're dealing with at least. Good test confirmed no new issues. All the best with your forthcoming intervention and hope it improves the symptoms of your condition.

Many thanks, would really appreciate that x
