I had an ICD event 3 days ago because I forgot to take my medication (for the first and last time!). I took the medication as soon as I realised, and went back to my normal daily routine 12 hours later. Ever since, my pulse has been really low - average 37 bpm for the last 4 hours. Is this normal?

Hi KG176
Are you feeling dizzy or faint with your pulse so low? You never mentioned how you are checking your pulse, if it is with a heart rate monitor (fitbit etc.) please check it manually with two index fingers on the inside of your wrist for 60 seconds, just to double check the heart rate reading.
As Hidden says, it would be best to contact your pacing clinic and try to attend today for an urgent check, to check that the setting on your ICD are right for you-especially if you have had an event recently.
Best of luck,
Ashleigh
Thanks Ashleigh,
I was using a wrist monitor, but have double checked using conventional methods, and results are comparable. in health terms, I feel perfectly well.
